This gilet is crafted from Sardinian saddlebag or "Bèrtula" fabric: an ancient pure cotton canvas originally used to make the work clothes and bags used by shepherds’ and peasants’ during transhumance, specially woven with a distinctive brick-like Matthoneddus pattern. Its ultra-functional silhouette takes cues from classic hunting and fishing vests, featuring front multi-use pockets and a maxi pocket on the back in Cordura® nylon. Elevated with a front metal zip closure and adjustable snap button hem. The inside hanging loop is embellished with the iconic Matthoneddus pattern typical of the traditional Sardinian saddlebag, otherwise known as "Sa Bèrtula".
